Maurea Grace Neff, 78, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday November 20, 2025. She worked for many years and retired from K Mart in Lafayette. In retirement she continued employment with Rotech. Maurea enjoyed crocheting, reading books, birds, and enjoying nature. She was known for her cooking and her experimental dishes. She had a curious and inquisitive spirit, and had a very kind heart. Maurea attended services at Blackhawk Ministries. She loved being an aunt and she adored her family. Everyone will miss her $5 birthday cards.

Maurea is survived by her sister in law Donna Neff; niece and nephews, DaNene Neff, Shawn (Suzan) Neff, and Ty (Robin) Neff; sister, Launa (Russ) Shoemaker; nieces and nephews, Troy (Denise) Shoemaker, Lisa (Richard) Carr, David (Jenni) Shoemaker, Lynette (Bob) Poindexter, Barb (Dan) Streeter, Jody Salway, and Melinda (Josh) Morse; 22 great nieces and nephews; and 22 great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sherman Reisinger; mother, Olive Crum' stepfather, John Crum; and brother, Paul Neff.

Maurea's wishes were to be cremated and no services be held at this time.
