Matthew Edwin Schoeff, 62, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on September 21, 2026, at his home.

Matt was born on December 17, 1963, in Bluffton, Indiana, to Paul E. Schoeff and Shirley A. (DeHaven) Schoeff Ternet. He graduated from Huntington North High School in 1982.

Matt spent many years as a Production Manager for Hendrickson in Kendallville, Indiana. More than the position he held, he valued the people he worked with every day. He was respected for his leadership and appreciated for the genuine relationships and friendships he built throughout his career.

As a faithful attendee of Pine Hills Church, Matt especially loved the worship music and singing, finding joy and encouragement in praising the Lord alongside others while continually growing in his relationship with Him.

That faith was evident in the way Matt lived his life. He had a servant's heart and an incredible ability to connect with people. Matt loved big and expressed that love through acts of service. He was always willing to help, encourage, and support others, often putting their needs ahead of his own.

A devoted father and mentor, Matt found great joy coaching his son Cody's travel baseball teams. An avid golfer, Matt enjoyed spending time at Eel River Golf Course. He also loved fishing, working in his yard and landscaping, and cherished any chance to be outdoors. Yet of all the things he enjoyed, nothing meant more to him than time spent with his family.

His greatest joy in recent years was being "Papa" to his grandson, Jayden. The bond they shared brought immense joy to Matt's life, and he treasured every moment they spent together.

Matt is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Christy Schoeff of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Cody (Ashley) Schoeff of Lima, Ohio; daughter, Makenzie Schoeff of Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandson, Jayden Schoeff of Lima, Ohio; brothers, Bruce (Stephanie) Schoeff of Louisville, Kentucky, and Kent (Kaye) Schoeff of the Philippines; brother-in-law, Alan (Tracy) Coler of Leonidas, Michigan; stepfather, Charles Ternet of Marion, Indiana; mother-in-law, Shirley Coler of Angola, Indiana; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. Schoeff and Shirley A. (DeHaven) Schoeff Ternet.

Family and friends may gather to share memories and celebrate Matt's life from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Pine Hills Church, 4704 Carroll Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the church.

A celebration of Matt's life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Pine Hills Church, with Pastor Mike Drury officiating.
