Obituary

Mary Louise Spice died peacefully on Feb. 16 at age 95. A lifelong Fort Wayne resident, she was a beloved mother and a faithful member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She saw the best and brought out the best in everyone around her. A graduate of Central High School and Indiana University, she also was a diligent and talented worker, notably aiding her mother, Theresia Archer, in operating a family-run medical supply company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Spice. She is survived by a daughter, Roseann Coomer (Allen) of Fort Wayne, and two sons, Byron Spice (Nancy) of Canonsburg, PA., and Alan Spice (Barbara) of Middlebury, IN, as well as five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She had a big heart and was always there for family members and friends who loved and needed her. Service is 11:00 am, Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd., with calling from 9:30 am until the services. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to Emmanuel Lutheran Church's In All Generations fund or the church's Altar Guild would be appreciated. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
