Mary E. McGrew, 88, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Parkview Hospital Randallia. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Mary was the daughter of the late John and Christine Eliopulos. Mary worked as head of export for the Brunswick Corporation for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and the daughters of Penelope. Mary was an avid reader, loved history, was versed in four languages and enjoyed traveling. Surviving are her children, Nike (Rick) McGillivray, Charles (Mary) McGrew; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Service is 11 am, Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 110 E. Wallen Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm with a Trisagion Service at 6 pm. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Illinois. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
