Mary E. Elwood, 77, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at her home in Fort Wayne. She was born in Woodburn, IN to the late Henry and Doris Closson. Mary loved caring for her family as a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening and all types of flowers. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2653 of Decatur, IN. Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years, Larry Elwood of Fort Wayne; children, Larry (Diane) Elwood of Fort Wayne, and Laurie Elwood of Avilla, IN; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Susan Closson of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by four brothers. Service is 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling one hour prior.
