Mary Lou Clegg passed on to her reward on 21 November 2024. She was born 1 October 1943 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Franklin Treece and Lucille Riggenbach. She graduated from South Side High School in 1961 and was married to John W. Klopfenstein in 1962 and Michael B. Clegg in 1990. She attended Calvary Presbyterian Church. She lived her whole life in Fort Wayne. Her passions were genealogy and playing bridge. She discovered that she was a Mayflower descendant of John Alden and Pricilla Mullins and was also related to Abraham Lincoln and John Adams. She wrote several family histories and started a Treece DNA project at Family Tree DNA. She will be cremated per her wishes. A tombstone will be placed at the Bowers Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Survivors include her husband, Michael B. Clegg; sons: John W. (Lisa) Klopfenstein, David F. Klopfenstein, and Christopher M. Klopfenstein; granddaughters: Alexis and Anna Klopfenstein; grandson: David McFarland; stepdaughters: Elizabeth D. (Terry) McConn and Lindsay B. Clegg Soriano; step granddaughters: Danica J.
