Marsha Lynn Baker, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Marsha was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Dorothy (Johnson) Meyer. She graduated from South Side High School, Class of 1966. Throughout her career, Marsha worked in a variety of office positions before finding her niche as a Medical Coder with Lutheran Health Network.
Marsha married the love of her life, Larry Baker, on March 19, 1995. Together they shared a wonderful marriage built on friendship, laughter, and a love of traveling. Whether it was a planned vacation or a spontaneous getaway, Marsha was always ready for the next adventure, especially if it meant spending time with Larry.
Anyone who knew Marsha knew she never met a stranger. She loved to talk and build relationships with people wherever she went. Her warm personality and genuine interest in others made it easy for her to form lasting friendships. She enjoyed taking walks and working on puzzles. Marsha also had a well-known sweet tooth and rarely turned down ice cream or chocolate.
Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. Marsha was a devoted member of Promise Ministries, where she cherished her church family and found great comfort, encouragement, and fellowship. Above all else, Marsha loved her family. Time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy, and she treasured every opportunity to create memories with them.
