Marla Sue (Dancer) Gipson, 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Auburn, Indiana, Marla was the daughter of the late Jack and Cecelia (Harding) Dancer. She was a graduate of North Side High School.

Marla was the owner and operator of Marc Associates for more than 20 years, where she specialized in commercial and residential window treatment design. She had a true eye for style and took great pride in helping her clients create beautiful spaces.

Marla loved spending time outdoors in the sunshine. She enjoyed traveling to tropical destinations, soaking up the sun, and scuba diving. She also had a special love for her cats and horses and her cherished 1977 Corvette, and, as her friends would happily tell you, she was rarely without her phone. Above all, Marla treasured the friendships she built throughout her life.

She is survived by her brother, Gary Dancer; nephews, Gabe and Adam Dancer and her dear friends, Doug Hines, Connie Middleton, Sue Murphy and Sally King.

A Celebration of Marla's Life will take place at a later date.
