Mark A. Mong aka “Happy”, 68, of Monterey, IN and Bradenton, FL, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026 peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Thomas and Janice (Brockway) Mong on May 20, 1957 in Union City, IN. Mark loved everything outdoors. He was a jack of all trades but most of his career he spent painting.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 18 years; Kelly Mong; children, Mason (Stacey) Mong of Hartwell, GA and Maranda Mong of Bradenton, FL; aunt, Janey Carrico of Union City, IN; brothers, Marty (Terri) Mong of Bay Minette, AL, Mitch (Shelia) Mong of Bradenton, FL, Matt (Lisa) Mong of Bradenton, Fl, and Mike Bryant of Austin, TX; 7 grandchildren; 1 one great-grandchild on the way; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Micah Mong.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bradenton, FL.
