Mark Edward Critchfield, 71, passed away Friday, January 3, 2020. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mark was the son of Edward Critchfield who survives and the late Edith Pauline Critchfield. Mark graduated from North Side High School class of 1966 and attended Indiana University and belonged to the Singing Hoosiers. He worked for NAPA for 40 years prior to his retirement in 2013. Mark was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Opus 18, Fort Wayne Maennerchoir, Three Rivers Orchid Society, and American Orchid Society. Mark was a member and served as President of Germanfest for many years. He was one of the founding members of Fort Wayne Vision Walk. He volunteered for 30 years at the Botanical Conservatory. Mark had a true love and passion for plants, and flowers. He also enjoyed having aquariums of different types of fresh water and salt water fish. Surviving are his children, Brian Critchfield, Christina (Timothy) Marks; grandchildren, Mitchell DeWald, Alaina Marks, Jazmine Marks, Isaac Marks; significant other, Glen Stevens; sister, Kim Huhn; half siblings, Michael Critchfield, Cindi Hanshew; niece, Jaimie Huhn; and nephew, Jason Huhn. Mark was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Critchfield. Service is 1 pm Saturday, January 11, 2020 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 10 am until the service. Memorials may be made to Fort Wayne Vision Walk.
