Marion "Jimmie" James Prine

June 25, 1943-April 12, 2025

Born in Fort Wayne, June 25, 1943 to James and Margaret (Spice) Prine, Jim passed away peacefully at home with family by his side April 12, 2025.

He served our country honorably in the USMC from October 1961-October 1967.

Jimmie enjoyed fishing and hunting and passed his love of the outdoors down to his daughters.

He retired from truck driving just a few years ago and from mowing his grass last summer.

He is survived by his sister Rosie (Frank) Bishop of Canyon City, CO and two daughters, Faith (Matt) Purkiser and Patricia Bennett, and son in law Chris Bennett, all of Fort Wayne. He had 8 grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud of and loved deeply. He was preceded in death by his sister Karen and daughter Tina.

A friend to everyone who knew him, he will be greatly missed by his lifelong friend Monty Musser and is now reunited with his friend/brother Tom Sappenfield who also preceded him in death

A gathering of remembrance will be held Sunday April 27, 2025 from 2-5pm at Fraternal Order of Eagles 3512, located at 2730 Lofty Drive 46808.
