Mrs. Marilyn Kuhens of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Parkersburg, daughter of William H. and Dorthy M. Bailey. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and attended Apostolic Bible Institute in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She loved to serve her community as a Sunday school teacher at The Sanctuary in Colonial Heights, VA. Upon moving to Indiana, she loved to spend time with her family and worship at Abundant Life Church, where she was an active member of the Golden Heirs senior group. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Dorthy M. Bailey; her husband of 56 years, Ralph Junior Kuhens; her two children, Rebecca Ann Ward and Julie Marie Padilla; one brother, William H. Bailey Jr.; and two sisters, Anna Marie Long and Carolyn Sue Holman. Survivors are one granddaughter, Shannon Elizabeth Ward (Engquist); Shannon's husband, Bronson Engquist; great grandson, Sewell Engquist and soon-to-arrive great granddaughter Wynsor Engquist; son-in-law, Edwin Padilla; two sisters-in-law, Betty Munro and Leona Kay; brother-in-law, Russell Long; and nieces, nephews, and their families. The service for Mrs. Kuhens will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, at noon, located at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street).
