Margery I. Gehman, age 89, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Berne, IN to the late Orlando and Violet Lehman. Margery worked 26 years at Brotherhood Mutual, where she retired as an underwriter in 2000. She was an active member Brookside Church, and several women's Christian fellowship groups. She will be remembered as a gifted seamstress and most of all a loving mother and grandmother. Margery is survived by her children, Janelle (Danny) Roach, Jon (Sheryl) Gehman, Jeffery (Sheryl) Gehman; daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Paul) Bruns; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; siblings, Anita Bertsch and Norval (Donna) Lehman. In addition to her parents, Margery was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Gehman; son, James A. Gehman; granddaughter, Adriana Gehman; and great-granddaughter, Kyla Gehman. Service is 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Brookside Church, 6102 Evard Rd., with calling two hours prior beginning at 9:00 am. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.
