Margaret Beth Lortie, 62, of Waterloo, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Golden Years Nursing Home in Fort Wayne. She was born to the late Paul and Billie (Taylor) Lortie in Fort Wayne on September 7, 1961. She graduated from St. Francis University with her bachelor's in nursing. Margaret worked as an RN at Lutheran Hospital and at St. Joe burn clinic for 19 years. She loved to crochet, reading, and anything related to Halloweenie.

Margaret is survived by her children, Jamie Brummer of Waterloo, Ethan Evans of Fort Wayne, and Galen Fiore-Kral of Madison, WI; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; siblings, Doug (Sandy) Lortie of New Haven, Rhonda (Don) Rasnic of New Haven, Lori (Jay) Carson of America, and Michael (Kim) Lortie of Rome City; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 10:30 am at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 11:00 am at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Fibromyalgia Association.
