Marciel A. Elmer, 86, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Marciel was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Ethel W. (Uhrick) Meyer. Marciel attended Northside High School and dedicated many years of service to the community as a bus driver for Southwest Allen County Schools. Beyond her professional life, she was a woman deeply devoted to her family. She married Nyle Elmer on January 22, 1977, sharing 46 years of marriage and building a life full of cherished memories before his passing in 2023. Together, they found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time at their lake home and wintering in Florida for many years. Above all, Marciel loved spending time with her family who remained the heart of her world. She is survived by her five daughters, Laura (George) Settles, Kathy (Nelson) Gonzalez, Karen (Gary Caibaiosai) Brown, Sandra (Mike) Pulver, Rhonda (Bob) Happ. Her legacy also lives on through her 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Harry E. Meyer, Harvey (Jacque) Meyer and David (Bonnie) Meyer. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nyle along with her parents. A Celebration of Marciel’s Life will be Friday, March 27, 2026 from 4 pm to 7 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street. A private burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Stillwater Hospice.
