Marcia Ann Huffman, born December 9, 1947, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, entering into eternal life with the faith that had sustained her throughout her life.
A devoted educator, Marcia spent her career as a math teacher with Fort Wayne Community Schools. Her love of teaching did not end with retirement. She continued to share her time and talents by tutoring students at Ascension Lutheran School, where she remained a treasured part of the school and church community.

Marcia was the loving mother of Amanda Huffman and Marshall Huffman. Her family, her students, and her faith were important parts of a life spent caring for and encouraging others.
Marcia’s favorite Bible verse was John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” She believed those words with all her heart, and her family takes comfort in knowing that the promise she treasured throughout her life has now been fulfilled.

Marcia will be remembered for her faith, her dedication to education, and the countless young people whose lives she touched both during her teaching career and in retirement. She was blessed to spend her final moments surrounded by family and passed peacefully in their presence.

Though those who loved Marcia grieve her loss, they also rejoice in the assurance of her faith and the promise of eternal life.

Thanks be to God for the life of Marcia Huffman and for the promise that, in Christ, death is not the end.

Funeral services for Marcia will be on Tuesday September 15th 2026 at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior at Ascension Lutheran Church 8811 St Joe Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835. There will also be a visitation on Monday September 14th 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Fort Wayne, IN 46825. Burial will take place at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, 5365 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN 46815.
