Mahlon Wickey, 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus, on Saturday, November 27, 2021. Born in Spencerville, Indiana, Mahlon was a son of the late David and Barbara (Gerig) Wickey. Mahlon was a self-employed trim carpenter that took pride in his work. Mahlon was a humble and simple man that loved the Lord, loved reading scripture, and loved his family. Mahlon was always filled with joy and laughter. He had a mellow and carefree personality, unique goofyness, and his one of a kind, contagious, and knee slapping laugh will be missed dearly. He enjoyed listening to politics and spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Wickey; children, Fran (Mark) Lane, Rebecca Werling, Christine Wickey, Barbara Oliver; grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Caleb, Rebekah, Sarah, Adam, Michael, Elizabeth, Raymond, Katelyn; siblings, Ruth Wengerd, Jerry (Margaret) Wickey, James (AnnaMae) Wickey, Joe (Marie) Wickey, and Christine (Pete) Schwartz. Mahlon was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Ben and James; and brother, David Wickey. A Celebration of Mahlon's Life will be Friday, December 3, 2021 at Harvest Fellowship Church, 1001 W. Wallen Road, from 5 pm to 8 pm. Memorials may be made to Harvest Fellowship Building Fund.
