Lynne Annette Altenburger, 63, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lynne was the daughter of Daniel and Janice (Poling) Rines, who survive.
Lynne graduated from Northrop High School, class of 1981. She worked for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles for many years, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.
Lynne found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved shopping, putting puzzles together, spending time outdoors enjoying nature, and tending to her plants. She had a special love for her pets and found comfort in reading scripture. Above all else, Lynne treasured the time she spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness.
She is survived by her longtime companion, Barry Altenburger; children, Reed Nolt, Avery (Becky) Paris, Shevon (Brittney) Altenburger, and Brance Altenburger; and five precious grandchildren. Lynne was preceded in death by her sister, Colleen Rines.
A Private Service will be held for Lynne.
