Lynn Eugene Funk, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at his home. Lynn graduated from New Haven High School in 1958. He then went on to serve in the US Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Lynn worked for International Harvester until 1984, then he co-owned LSM reconditioning service in New Haven for several years. Lynn also worked as a handyman at Park Lake Professional Center until his retirement. Lynn was a member of the ski club in high school. He loved being at the lake and boating. He was a longtime member of the New Haven Conservation Club.
Lynn is survived by his companion of 12 years, Joann Bowers; daughters, Julie (Chris) Kurtz, Lori (Ken Daszczuk) Grogg, and Melynda (Bob Jr) Reynolds; grandchildren, Nicholas, Alyssa, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Austin, and Jackson; sister, Sharon Wilsey.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois; brothers, Jack and Larry Funk.
A memorial service for Lynn will take place on Saturday September 7th 2024 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 9 am at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Burial will take place in St John Catholic Cemetery in New Haven. Preferred memorials may be directed to Honor Flight of North East Indiana.
