Obituary

Lucia Donias Brown, 49, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, after a courageous 13-year battle with brain tumors. Born to late Justo and surviving Lucia Donias, Lucia's nurturing spirit and vibrant personality touched the lives of all who knew her.

Lucia was a devoted wife to her husband, Brian Brown, with whom she shared 30 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family that was the cornerstone of her life. Lucia was a proud mother to her three daughters: Rachael, Bryana, and Cristina and a remarkable grandmother to her grandchildren: Emilio and Celina. Her greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother with whom she cherished every moment; often attending their school events and sporting activities cheering them on.

A remarkable sister and great friend, Lucia is survived by her siblings: Justo (Tracy) Donias, Gerard (Cord) Donias, Gabriel (Michelle) Donias, and Sonya (Derek) Connor. She held a special place in her heart for her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, fostering deep connections and creating lasting memories with each one.

Lucia's life was defined by her innate desire to care and help others. Whether through her work or in her community, and family she selflessly placed the needs of others above her own. Her warm smile and compassionate nature made her a beloved member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.

Lucia's faith was a source of strength throughout her life, particularly during her long illness. She faced each challenge with remarkable grace and resilience, inspiring those around her with her indomitable spirit and infectious sense of humor. Her ability to find joy in the smallest moments and to lift the spirits of others left an enduring impact.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, located at 1515 Barthold Street.
