Luann St. John, age 69, formerly Luann Boyer and Luann Nixon passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Franklin, IN to the late Lonnie and Letha Nixon. Luann worked over 25 years in the employee benefits division at Lincoln Financial Group and later in insurances sales with AAA and MetLife. Her crowning achievement was authoring a workbook on Section 89 of ERISA and touring the country leading training seminars. Luann served as a board member with the German Heritage Society, and enjoyed bowling with her Lincoln Life friends. She will be remembered for her amazing Bahama Mama Christmas parties, and the loving way she cared for children in her life. Luann is survived by her children, Laura (Carey) King of Fort Wayne, and Lucas Boyer of Naperville, IL; grandson, Logan Boyer; and her best friend Melody Lehman. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert St. John; and three siblings, David, Colleen, and Robin. A private gathering will take place at a later date.
