Lowell Allen Fein, 81, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Lowell was the son of the late Edward and Wilma (Kundo) Fein. He earned his Master's Degree in Education from Indiana University.
Lowell served his country with great pride, retiring from the United States Navy with the rank of E7. While serving, he worked as a Fire Control Technician aboard the USS Ohio Submarine.
On June 18, 1966, Lowell married the love of his life, Cynthia Barthel, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and together they shared 59 wonderful years of marriage.
During his career, Lowell served as Registrar at Concordia Lutheran Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and later at Concordia University in Austin, Texas. While living in Texas, he developed a love for barbecue.
Lowell enjoyed being on the water, fishing, and taking in the peace and relaxation it brought. He also had a lifelong passion for tractors—especially John Deere, loved riding trains, and kept up with modern submarine innovations. A loyal fan, Lowell proudly cheered for the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Fein; children, Lonnie (Tricia) Fein and Dawn (Shawn) Beverly; grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Meghan, and Milah; and siblings, Edward "Bud" (Jeanette) Fein, Betty (Galen) Monson, Helene Clark, and Paul (Judy) Fein.
