Louis “Louie” Neal Repkie, age 83, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. A devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Louie was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Born in Bay City, MI, Louie built a life centered on family, hard work, and quiet strength. Louis worked for Prestolite Corporation and was a small business owner for many years. Louis was also an Army veteran.
He was reunited in death with his parents, Louis Repkie and Dorothy Huskins. He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Marsha Repkie, with whom he shared many years of love, and partnership.
He is survived by his beloved stepchildren, Melanie Sekel (Ed), Carrie Oates (Matt), whom he loved and raised as his own, as well as his son, Steven Repkie (Carolyn); and his grandchildren Olivia, Landry, Renee, Joshua; and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Fogarty (Karen); Brother-in -law, Terry David (Gloria); and
sister-in-law, Phyllis O’Farrell (Robert) along with many extended family members and friends.
Over the past several months, Louie faced ongoing health challenges with courage and strength. Despite these difficulties, he remained resilient and deeply connected to his family, who were the center of his world.
Louie will be remembered for his steady presence, sense of humor, love for his family, loyalty, and for the kind friendships he gave so freely to those around him.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday February 28, 2026 at noon with visitation beginning at 11am at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Myasthenia Gravis foundation or donor's choice.
Louie’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.
