Lorraine Elizabeth Reser, 89, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, formerly of Roseville, Michigan, died on July 5, 2024. She was born on December 14, 1934, in Shooks, Minnesota, to John and Clara (Schriener) Dockendorf. Lorraine had many fond memories of growing up on a farm in northern Minnesota with her parents and siblings. She moved to the Detroit area as a young adult and worked for many years as a nurse's aide at Saratoga Hospital. She met the love of her life, Robert Reser, when he was a patient at the hospital. Lorraine and Bob were married on May 8, 1956. They were married for 58 years and lived their entire married life in Roseville, Michigan. Lorraine was a very talented crafter. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and most especially making Christmas decorations and ornaments. Her Christmas ornaments adorn the trees of her family and friends and will be cherished for generations as a reminder of her generosity and love.
Lorraine is survived by her son, David (Mary Lee) Reser; grandchildren, Sarah (Michael), Ryan (Amanda), Susan (Benjamin), and Taylor (Shayla); great-grandchildren, Morgan, Brayden, Elijah, Nora, Grace, Carson, and Naomi; son-in-law, Kevin O'Leary; brother, Edwin Dockendorf; and sisters, Rosemary Jonas and Clarita (Wally) Rennemo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Bonnie O'Leary; brothers, Robert Dockendorf and Raymond Dockendorf; and sisters, Alice Schriefels and Dorothy Kippley.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Innocents Catholic Church with interment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens.
