Obituary
Lois Elliott Johnson (nee McCabe),91, died Tuesday, April 22, 2025. She was born in Rochester, NY on April 4, 1934 to Charles and Esther McCabe and raised in the small town of Honeoye Falls. After moving to Indiana in 1956, she's called Fort Wayne home since 1958. Lois spent over 25 years in the banking industry, working her way to the Operations Manager position at Chase Bank in Time Corners. Once retired, she spent many years volunteering at the gift shop at Lutheran hospital.

. Loving mother to Steven (Rose), Jeffrey (Chris), Richard (Karen), the late David (Jami) and the late Thomas Bradshaw. Aunt to Marcy (Roger) Reynolds and Chuck (Karen) McCabe.
She met the love of her life in the late Roger L. Johnson, marrying in 1977 and embracing his four children, the late Dan (Sonie Walker), Noel (Kathy), Sherri (Ed) DeRemer, Julie (Jim) Godziela as her own.
Her greatest joy in life was her "great big wonderful blended family". Over her nine well lived decades, Lois's family continued to grow to include 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren, along with several great nieces and nephews.
Lois has been a resident of the Towne House senior independent living facility since 2016. She stayed very active participating in many committees and part-time work during her years there. She maintained an unwavering faith in the Lord and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Some of her favorite things included her outings to the Ft. Wayne Philharmonic, seeing a TinCap game, gardening and playing bridge. A Celebration of Lois's Life will be 10 am, Saturday, May 3, 2025 at The TowneHouse Retirement Community Chapel, 2209 St. Joe Center Road. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
