Lois E. Harmon, 93, of Fort Wayne, was called Home on Saturday, September 27, 2025. She was born in Fort Wayne on April 17, 1932. Lois graduated from Avilla High School. She married the late Richard A. Harmon. He preceded her in death in 1987. Lois retired from Magnavox after 25 years. Church was her main life and was a life-long member of the Apostolic church. Throughout her life, she enjoyed horses, rodeos, painting, reading, music, and spending time with her family. Lois was a very avid and skilled painter. Each painting she gave away to loved ones.
Lois is survived by her children, Cathy (Bob) Gongwer, Marge (Terry) Brown and Richard (Kathi) Harmon; grandchildren, Tom, Holly, Liz, RaChelle, Robb, Tara, Travis, and Tyler; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Minna and Walter Baney; children, Claudia K. Harmon and Sue A. Castle; great-grandchild, Cassandra Gibson; sister, Esther Boivin; brother, Paul Baney.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Abundant Life Tabernacle (3301 E Coliseum Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46805) at 12:00 pm with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow the service at Prairie Grove Cemetery.
