Lois N. "Cali" Casteel,77, of Fort Wayne, Ind. Passed away on February 10, 2024 at her home. Cali was known for her creativity. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening. Cali was passionate about birds and had vast knowledge about them. She was very adventurous. In retirement Cali worked part time at Wild Birds Unlimited.
Cali is survived by her stepdaughters, Cathy Nix and Beth Casteel; brothers, David Mangum and Jim and his wife Mabel; along with many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Casteel; siblings, Dennis Mangum, Nancy Mangum, and Steve Mangum. Preferred memorials in Cali's honor may be directed to the Eagle Marsh Nature Preserve 6801 Engle Rd. Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
