Obituary

The warmth and vibrance of Lisa Jane Wilder's life came to a peaceful close on August 28, 2026, as she passed away at home in the tender embrace of her beloved family. Born on October 17, 1962, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lisa was a cherished daughter of the late Walter and Betty Nielsen.

Lisa's life was a testament to love, dedication, and grace. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Kevin A. Wilder, with whom she shared a deep and abiding partnership. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and companionship. As a mother, Lisa was the heart of her family, nurturing her children, Andrew (Alexa) and Katherine, with boundless love and unwavering support.

A proud graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School, Lisa went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from Indiana University. She dedicated 36 years of her life to serving others through her work at Parkview Health, specifically in their Home Health Care department. Her colleagues and patients alike were touched by her compassion, professionalism, and commitment to helping others.

Lisa was a longstanding and cherished member of Concordia Lutheran Church, where she once shared her musical talents as part of the handbell choir. Her faith was central to her life, guiding her actions and providing comfort and strength throughout her journey.

Outside of her professional and spiritual commitments, Lisa found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She spent countless hours outdoors, delighting in playful moments with her dogs. An avid baker, her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aroma of freshly baked treats. She also relished in cheering for her Indiana Hoosiers, her enthusiasm contagious to all who knew her.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Kevin Wilder; children, Andrew (Alexa) Wilder, Katherine Wilder; siblings, Kenneth (Misti) and Paul (Debra) Nielsen; along with several nieces and nephews.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Lisa will remember her for her kindness, strength, and hope. Her belief in a full life in heaven was a beacon that shone brightly, providing solace and inspiration to those around her.

A celebration of Lisa's life will be held on September 3, 2026, with a viewing from 10am to 12pm with service following at 12pm at Concordia Lutheran Church, located at 4245 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives. We invite everyone attending to wear joyful colors to celebrate her arrival into Heaven. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lisa's memory to Concordia Lutheran Church Fort Wayne, honoring her enduring faith and dedication to her church community.

Lisa Jane Wilder's legacy of love, kindness, and hope will continue to inspire those who knew her, leaving an enduring mark on the hearts she touched. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements
