Obituary
Lisa May “Nana” Mitchell, 63, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lisa was a daughter of the late Halbert C. and Bonnie Lou (Baller) Pursley. Lisa graduated from Leo High School. Lisa worked for Wieland Furniture in Grabill for 10 years. She met the love of her life Darrell while he was working with her and they were married on July 26, 1986. Lisa had an incredible personality, and her love to help and care for others was abundantly clear. She loved to care for her family, her children, grandchildren and close family friends. She was ultimately known by many as “Nana” and she will surely be missed by all that knew her. Lisa enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking, gardening, baking and anything that her children and grandchildren were active in.
Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Darrell Mitchell; children, Daira (Josh) Harth, Cole (Kristine) Mitchell, Jace Mitchell; grandchildren, Zayne Harth, Treyton Harth, Alexa Harth, Ryder Mitchell; and brother, Denton (Tammy) Pursley. Lisa was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Emmy Mitchell; and sister, Tamara Owens. Service is 7 pm, Friday, January 24, 2025 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 4 pm until the services. Memorials may be made to the family.
