Linda Kay Hopper, 86, of New Haven, passed away on March 2, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family. Linda was born on February 7, 1940, in Lima, OH, to Harold and Katherine Dodge.
Linda spent her entire life helping and serving others. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital after 40-plus years of service. She cultivated lifelong friendships at St. Joe, and while serving as a labor and delivery technician, had the unique experience of assisting in the deliveries of several of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Linda's greatest joy was her family; she took great pleasure in surrounding herself with them and their laughter. Before illness set in, Linda enjoyed simple trips to Amish country to shop and eat, and attending various functions of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she never missed a birthday party, a sporting event, or a dance recital; she absolutely loved being a grandma.
Linda is survived by her husband of 18 years, Trig, who affectionately called her "Sparky", and she referred to Trig as the love of her life! She is also survived by her daughters, Julie (Jack) Henline, Sherie (Greg) Leazier, Kimberly Archer, and Rhonda (Keith Foreman); stepdaughter, Amy (Tim) Hopper; and her sons, Shawn (Cyndi) Archer and Stacy Archer; brothers, Steve (Debbie) Dodge and Phillip (Kay) Dodge; 21 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Katherine Dodge; brother, David Dodge; and her sons, Jeff Archer and Steve Archer.
A celebration of Linda's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. To sign the online guestbook, go to www.fairhavenfortwayne.com
