Lilia T. Caruso, age 96, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024 in LaGrange, IL. She was born in Colombia, South America to the late Ruben and Rosa Maria Martinez.

Lilia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Fort Wayne and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Chicago.

Lilia was a homemaker and spent her life taking care of family and friends, including her three grandchildren, which brought joy to her heart. Her creativity showed in her gardening of fruits and vegetables and growing flowers and plants.

Lilia is survived by her children, Rosann (Joseph) Kramer of Underhill, VT and Joe (Meg) Caruso of LaGrange, IL; three grandchildren, Kayleigh, Luke and Madeline of La Grange, IL; and six siblings, Sophia (Enio) Diaz, Rafael (Beatriz) Martinez, Amelia Martinez, Hector Martinez, Lola Martinez and Enrique Martinez; and fifteen nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand Caruso; and three siblings, Jose Vicente Martinez, Ruben (Fabiola) Martinez and Aurora Martinez.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am, Monday, January 29, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Rd., with calling one hour prior. Calling also 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Burial at Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to World Vision.
