Laurie (Campbell) Wilson, 60, left her earthly home Saturday morning, April 2, 2022, peacefully as the sun shined bright like her spirit. She is dancing with her Lord and Savior and embracing her husband, Stan Wilson; niece Emily Ludwig; her grandparents and parents. Laurie was a stay at home mom for many years to her daughter Jennifer and made her sole duty to make sure that little girl and her husband felt loved. She was a nanny for many years and worked at the Fort Wayne Auto Auction. Following that she then went on to teach preschool, open her own daycare and again nanny later on in life, sacrificing so much for so many children she touched over the years. She had a strong attachment for animals, and made them a central focus in her life as she worked at an animal shelter and vet clinic. From time to time, she would even rescue turtles off the highway. She leaves behind her daughter, Jennifer (Andy) Barnes; sister, Lisa Ludwig; nephew Tom Ludwig; and her one and only beloved granddaughter, Sophie Madelyn Barnes. Laurie was a walking heart. She loved others more than herself and consistently gave all of herself in her smile, her laugh, her words and her actions. She was perseverance and her legacy will remain through Jennifer and Sophie and the countless hearts she touched. Service is 2 pm, Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W.
