Laura S. Rasler-Gooley, 66, passed into the Lord's care the evening of September 23rd. She was born February 25, 1955 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late David and Patricia Bornkamp.
Laura graduated from Northrop High School in 1973 and earned a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from Indiana University.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a talented painter, who embraced God's beautiful design as inspiration, a celebrated artist, and master gardener. Laura spent the last thirty years creating beautiful gardens across northeast Indiana through her own landscape business, Tanglewood Gardens and Design.
Nestled in the woods, Laura was surrounded by her passion and inspiration, in a beautiful log cabin she built. Her land was always bountiful with beautiful wildflowers and picturesque landscapes. She took immense pride in her homestead.
Laura's beautiful smile always preceded her, and her gentle spirit gave everyone she encountered peace. Her foundation was formed in her worship of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. She often turned to Psalms 91 as a prayer to keep her family near and far safe and under the protection of the Lord.
"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most-High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust'."
Laura is survived by her children, Erin (Michael) Rasler-Novak of Glenview, IL; Matthew (Trina) Rasler of Longmont, CO; Jennifer Rasler (Dan Niccum), Anna (Greg) Baltes both of Fort Wayne IN; and eight beautiful grandchildren.

Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, at FairHaven Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at the funeral home. Laura will be laid to rest at Lindenwood Cemetery.
