Laura L Bennett, 68, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Laura was born on February 26, 1956, to the late, Roger and Anna (Bovey) Anderson in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Alter Guild. She enjoyed camping, scrapbooking group, trips to the beaches of Michigan, but her GREATEST joy was spending time with her family and friends. Laura has devoted her entire life to loving and supporting her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her extended family and friends, and is a beautiful example of unconditional love. She was always available to anyone who needed anything. She would always find the good in people and give anyone the benefit of the doubt. She was Mom, Grandma, Yaya to many and a friend to everyone. Laura married her love, James Bennett, on October 26, 2002, in Fort Wayne. Besides her adoring husband, Laura is survived by her daughters Nikki (Chris) Keevers, Mary Richards, Lindsay Lopez, Caitlin (Aaron) Teague; sons, Braden (Ali) Turner and Ben Turner; step-son, Andy (Andria) Bennett; 22 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren with one on the way. She truly loved being a mom, grandma and great-grandma and treasured each moment spent with all of them. Laura is also survived by her siblings, Randy (Nettie) Anderson; Karen (Jeff) Harris, Robin (Marvin) Shipp; Keith (Barb) Anderson; Kay Anderson, Lisa Johnson, and Darylin Fragoso; several nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Sheila (Keith) Burns. Besides her parents, Laura is preceded in death by a special aunt, Elaine Anderson. Service for Laura will be 11 am, Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd., with calling from 9 am until the service. Memorials may be sent to St Jude's Children's Hospital in Laura's name.
