Larry E. Niemeyer, age 73, of New Haven, IN passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023 at his home. He was born in Fort Wayne, to the late Robert and Elizabeth Niemeyer. Larry worked as a truck driver with JAT Fort Wayne and more recently he enjoyed driving for the Amish community. He was a respected Little League umpire in New Haven, loved singing Karoke, and most of all enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and especially his grandchildren. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Debbie Niemeyer; children, Christy (Mike) Bill of New Haven, IN, Ryan Niemeyer of New Haven, IN, Danielle (Jeff) Minnick of Fort Wayne, and Jason (Haley Vandurmen) Niemeyer of New Haven, IN; nine grandchildren; siblings, Jan (Mike) Leach, Donna Niemeyer, Denise (Barry Whitman) Stefanski, Michael Niemeyer, and Teresa Niemeyer. Service is 8:00 pm, Friday, May 12, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling two hours prior beginning at 6:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the family.
