Kevin Lee Messmann, 52, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Dennis Messmann and Geraldine Halbrook, who survives, of Fort Wayne. Kevin worked for McCoy Bolt Works, Keystone Schools, and most recently at Steel Dynamics for 13 years. He was a member of City Church and formerly a member of Fellowship Missionary Church. Kevin loved all types of music and playing his electric guitar. He also enjoyed camping at Indian Spring Campground, spending time with his family and friends, and sharing his relationship with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. He is also survived by his wife, Kathleen Messmann of Fort Wayne; children, Melissa (Antonio) Meriwether, Mariah (Jonathon) Stewart, Charlotte Messmann, and Lailynn Messmann all of Fort Wayne; 5 grandchildren, Jaeda, Oliver, Presley, Axl, and Piper; four siblings, Kurt Messmann, Kristy (Spencer) Reinwald, Nicole (Anthony) Messmann-Green, and Danielle (Jared) Hesting. Service is 11:00 am, Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Fellowship Missionary, 2536 E. Tillman Rd. with calling one hour prior. Calling also Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to family.
