Richard Kennett "Kenny" Statler, AKA Ornery, 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Born in Angola, Indiana, Kenny was a son of the late Ernest "Slats" and Cupidell Statler. He graduated from North Side High School. He was a project manager for many years with Preferred Incorporated. Kenny enjoyed anything with an engine. He loved riding his motorcycle, his corvette, and watching races. He also was very handy, being able to fix about anything. One of the funny things about Kenny is he wasn't terribly patient but he loved to read Clive Cussler books. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Victoria "Vicki" Statler; children, Staci Rader, Cody (Dana) Statler; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; second sons, John Melton, James Rader; and his beloved dog Norbert. Kenny was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Statler. A Celebration of Kenny's Life will be at 11 am, Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Pathway Community Church with calling from 9 am until the service. Memorials may be made to Pathway Community Church, Humane Fort Wayne, or Rock Steady Boxing at Lutheran Life Villages. FairHaven Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
