Kenneth Jack Smith, age 74, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Eccles, WV to the late Elmer and Gladys Smith. Ken worked as a respected supervisor with Food Marketing for over 32 years. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy and was member of Christ's Hope Ministries and Church. Ken leaves behind many wonderful memories, and always demonstrated love to his family. He was role model to his grandsons and will be remembered as a caring husband, father, and Pa Pa. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bonnie Smith of Fort Wayne; daughter, Audra Burkhead of Fort Wayne; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Burkhead, Dawson Burkhead, and Brody Burkhead all of Fort Wayne; brother, Don (Betty) Smith of Mount Hope, WV; and sister, Judith (Morris) Weeks of Canton, GA. Ken was also preceded in death by his brother, Dan Smith; and sister, Diane Smith. A memorial gathering will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Christ's Hope Ministries and Church, 2818 Carroll Rd.
