Kelvin Edward Brubaker, 70, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Kelvin was the son of the late Harold and Lois (Radke) Brubaker. Kelvin graduated from New Haven High School class of 1971. After high school, he developed his passion for architecture into a lifelong career using his craftsmanship and attention to detail, working with Dave Aker Construction, where he worked from 1971 until they closed in 2005. He then worked for Fleetwood from 2006 until 2012, then his final workplace was with Grabill Cabinets from 2012 until 2020 when he retired. Kelvin married the love of his life Lois Caudle and they had been married for 47 years. Kelvin and Lois enjoyed traveling together and building crafts. He enjoyed being in his garage working on projects and being at the lake where he found peace and tranquility. Kelvin cherished nothing more than being a husband, father, and grandfather to his family where he could make everlasting memories. Surviving are his wife Lois Brubaker; daughters, Julie (Scott) Karst, Kristina Thomas; grandchildren, Evan, Jenna, Zoe; and niece, Teresa Gebhart. Kelvin was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl McKean. Service is 7 pm, Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 1 pm to 3 pm and 5 pm until the service. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of NE Indiana or Parkview Home, Health and Hospice.
