Kelley Jo Barker, 59, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Hammond, Indiana, Kelley was the daughter of Timothy and Gayle (Wagner) Berg. Kelley could be simply described as a shining light in life, living for Christ and her family. God gifted Kelley with a gigantic mamas heart, and it's expression could be observed in her constant display of thoughtfulness and care for others. Kelley was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a caring grandmother to her family. She enjoyed planning the next family trip into the late hours of the night, making sure to get the best deal possible for her family's or friends next get away. Kelley gifts of hospitality also overflowed with blessing as her and Jeff continually opened their home as a sanctuary for those who didn't have family, gladly inviting them into their own family life. Kelley was well known for her party planning and decorating. She had so many ways of demonstrating her love and care for the people that God brought into her and Jeff's lives. Kelley was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church, looked forward to Vacation Bible School and the Good News club. She loved coming home and telling Jeff about her new kiddos that grabbed her heart each season. Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Jeffrey Barker; children, Jacob Barker, Isaiah (Grace) Barker, Abigail (Max) Hall, Chloe Barker; grandchildren, Simon and Honor Barker; and brother, Timothy Berg. A Celebration of Kelley's Life will be 12 noon, Monday, October 21, 2024 at Harvest Fellowship Church, 1001 W. Wallen Road, with calling from 10 am until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harvest Fellowship Church for their Good News Club or Vacation Bible School. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
