Kathleen Margaret "Kathy" Rigley, 71, a long-time resident of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at her summer home in Fort Wayne. Born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Fort Wayne on October 15, 1951, she was the fourth of seven children of George Jr and Rosemary (McGovern) Vorndran. Kathy was a 1970 graduate of Elmhurst High School. Kathy worked at GTE in Fort Wayne before moving to Phoenix in 1975. She retired from Fry's Food Stores and Cigna Healthcare in Phoenix. She loved her family, especially her six grandchildren and spending summers in Fort Wayne. Kathy is survived by her sons, Jason (Sophia) Rigley of Phoenix, AZ, Randall (Kerry) Rigley of Fort Wayne; grandchildren Brennan, Ryland, Jadyn, Cole, Owen, and Maisie Rigley; siblings, Diana Garrett of Andersonville, TN; Mary (Victor) Christie of Phoenix, AZ; Andrea (Larry) Daggett of Bryan, Ohio; and Michael Vorndran of Fort Wayne. Kathy was preceded in death by her brothers, George III and Paul Vorndran. A Celebration of Life is planned in the upcoming weeks. Memorials may be made to Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control.
