Karl G. Frick, 71, of Leo, IN, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025. He was born on June 19,1953 in Sycamore, IL to Edward and Eva Frick. He graduated from Concordia Teachers College of River Forest, IL and earned a Master's from Indiana University. In 1985, he married Karen Lorenzen in Fort Wayne. They later moved to Leo with their two children. Karl loved sports, trivia, history, and working with the staff and students at St. Peter's Lutheran Church & School. During his 40 years at St. Peter's he taught middle school, worked with the church youth group, coached many sports, and was the athletic director for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Grant (Hannah) of Fishers, IN; and daughter, Lauren of Fort Wayne. Also surviving are a sister, Sandy (Jon) Johns of Rockford, IL; a brother, Rev. E. Timothy (Sandi) Frick of Genoa, IL; and sister-in-law, Debbie Frick of Janesville, WI. He was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Karl was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janaan LeMacher; twin brother, Joel Frick; and niece, Kayla Frick. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd., with calling one hour prior. Calling also 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, 6557 N. Clinton St. Private burial at Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
