Karen Taylor, March 4, 1961-July 15, 2025.

Karen was the friendliest person who never met a stranger. She was nearly always cheerful, shining her light on everyone she knew. Despite her many life challenges and circumstances, she never lost her smile or happy disposition. She was resilient, strong, funny, and always willing to help those who needed it.

If you really wanted to win Karen's heart, you could do so with a Pepsi. She also loved watching tv classics like The Andy Griffith Show, Beverly Hillbillies, Little House on the Prairie, and listening to music from the 60s and 70, playing bingo, and helping with housework. She adored dogs, Hershey bars, and her beloved aunt and best friend Nancy. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She has now joined her family who has gone before her: her mother and father, Barbara & Lester; her brother, Michael Burdine; her grandparents, Janet & Ed Fritz, Tom Menzie, and Isabelle and Lester Taylor; her aunts and uncles, Nancy Shafer, Sharon Tigges, Ed Fritz, and John Menzie; Kenny Taylor, and Melba Taylor. Leaving behind to remember and celebrate the gift she was to the world are: her brothers, Lester Taylor, Derek Burdine, and Dana Taylor; her uncle Steve Shafer, who also provided support for Karen; many cousins, including Suzy, for whom she was more like a sister; friends and staff at Kingston Care Center, where she resided upon her death.

Karen's memorial service will be on Aug 23, 2025, from 2-4pm at The Garden, 3308 N Anthony Blvd, Ft. Wayne, IN 46805.
