Karen Ann Brandon 64, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away February 12, 2017 at Parkview Randalia Hospital. She was born August 5, 1952 in Fort Wayne, IN to Jack and Lois (Horner) Schweigel.

She graduated from New Haven High School in 1970. Karen married Jerry Brandon on April 9, 1983. She was a Security Officer with Universal Security for 5 years. She was an avid Detroit Redwings and Fort Wayne Komets hockey fan.

Member of the First Assembly of God, C0-Founder and member of G.R.A.C.E., Greyhound Adoption of Belleville, MI. Karen owned and fostered over 115 Greyhounds.
Surviving relatives include her husband Jerry Brandon of Fort Wayne, daughters Brandee Brock of Taylor, MI; and Anne (Jerry) Bovie of Leo, IN. Brothers, Kent (Marlene), Dan (Barb) Schweigel of Fort Wayne and Kevin (Kathy) Schweigel of Hicksville, OH.

7 Grandchildren, Carrie Jo (Raffy) Youssef of Mt Pleasant, MI, Keith Perkins of Harlan, IN., Kristin Schweigel of Westland, MI., Zach and Brandon Carter of Newport, MI., and Daniel and Abby Bovie of Leo, IN. 8 Great Grand Children.

Funeral service will be Friday at 7:00pm. with viewing one hour prior at FairHaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton St. Fort Wayne, IN 46825. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
