Karen Armstrong, age 83, passed away on March 19, 2026, at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Fort Wayne to the late Ivin and Margaret Botteron.
Karen devoted her life to caring for her family as a homemaker and found purpose in serving others. She was an active volunteer with Taylor Chapel, where she helped distribute medical supplies to cancer patients. She loved animals, especially her dogs, was an enthusiastic bird watcher, and cherished her time at the lake.
Karen will be lovingly remembered as someone who brought light and joy to those around her and showed love with an empathetic heart.
She is survived by her son, Sterling Armstrong; daughter-in-law, Shae Wheeler; and grandchildren, Capher Armstrong and Nathan Armstrong.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Armstrong; and her brother, Jack Botteron.
A Memorial Service is 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling two hours prior, beginning at 11:00 am.
