K. Joseph (Joe) Hullinger, age 66, of Hoagland, IN passed away February 27, 2024, in Fort Wayne, IN. Son of the late Kenneth Hullinger and is survived by his mom, Charlotte Hullinger. Joseph graduated from Indiana University and pursued a career in criminal justice. After 28 years as an officer and detective, he retired from the Fort Wayne Police Department. He was active in the Hoagland Youth Baseball League as a coach for several years. Joseph is survived by his sons, Jeremy (Lisa Smitley) Hullinger and Colt Hullinger; grandchildren, Amelia, Henry, and Wyatt; siblings, Daniel (Robin) Hullinger and Kari (Michael Peters) Hullinger; and nephews, Isaac Hullinger and Benjamin Peters. Service is 12:00 pm, Friday, March 15, 2024, at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling two hours prior beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery of North Manchester, IN. Memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne, the Wounded Warrior Project, or the FOP Local 14.
