Judy D. Horner, 58, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025. She was born in Fort Wayne to the late James and Ruby Landess.  Judy proudly worked at the 122nd Fighter Wing Air National Guard Base, where she specialized in maintenance and repair.

Judy was also a gifted published poet, using her words to express her deep faith and to uplift those around her. Her poetry touched many lives and reflected the grace and compassion she carried in her heart. A devoted member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, Judy will be remembered for her love of dill pickles, eating at Taco Bell, her ornery sense of humor, her unwavering kindness, and the love she poured into every relationship.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Horner (Meghan Davison); her siblings Cathy Osbun (Terrell), Lisa Ramirez (Paul), Gayle Talaga, Linda Mireles (Francisco), Laura Pranger (Jim), and Loren Landess (Jacqueline); her stepfather, Charles Landess; many cherished nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Bones. Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Landess; and her two unborn children.

Service is 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N.
