Judith "Judy" Ann Hunter, 80, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 at her home in Rockwall, TX. Born in Wayne County, Indiana, Judith was the daughter of the late Kimber and Edythe Fraley. Judith graduated from Rushville High School where she excelled academically and built herself up spiritually through her church activities. Judith graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Judith was a member of the Rushville chapter of the National Honors Society. While sitting with her legs propped up on a chair, Don Hunter tripped over her legs. Judith replied, "watch your step, you clumsy oaf." That incident was the start of a lifetime love story. Donald and Judith were married on December 17, 1960. Judith taught English until she became pregnant with her first daughter, Sabra. Five years later, Fonda was born. Judith was the last of the great traditional homemaker. She was masterful at raising independent, intelligent, hardworking daughters. Judith was a fierce supporter of her family. Judith was incredibly gifted. She was a seamstress and made clothes for her daughters. She ironed sheets, made Sunday dinner, played bridge, and attended North Side High School athletic events. Judith was known to "help" referees make calls, serve as a timer at swim meets, and was the first to chant "pin, pin, pin," when a wrestler was placed on his back. As her children grew older, she worked many different jobs so her children could participate in activities. Judith worked as a seasonal retail clerk, third shift food checker, insurance receptionist and an accounting assistant. Later in life, Judith returned to her first passion-sewing. Judith made quilts, cross-stitched, and knitted. She won first place at a quilting show in Kentucky. Judith moved from being her kids' number one fan to her grandkids number one fan. Judith leaves a legacy of love as she dances in heaven with Don.
