Judith A. Gann's Obituary
Judith A. Gann, age 88, passed away on April 13, 2026, in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Herrin, IL, to the late Walter and Ruth Barwick.
Judy spent her early career as an elementary school teacher in Elgin and Carbondale, Illinois, where she demonstrated patience and a steady, caring heart. Later in life, she shared her love of music by teaching piano lessons.
She was a devoted member of East Tipp Baptist Church of Lafayette, IN, and was active in the Christian Women’s Club, the Purdue Homemakers Club, and the Red Hat Society. Judy also enjoyed teaching Sunday School and volunteering with Meals on Wheels. She will be remembered as a godly woman who loved Jesus and consistently reflected his love.
Judy is survived by her sons, Russell “Rusty” Gann and Scott (Ashley) Gann; and her grandchildren, Jackson Gann and Elizabeth “Alex” Gann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Gann.
