Joyce Cooke, 80, of Fort Wayne, went to be with Jesus, her Lord on Wednesday October 19th, 2022. Joyce was born in Marion Ind and graduated from Marion High School. She was a member of Pathway Community Church where she was a greeter. Joyce loved her greeter responsibility and all of those whom she greeted. People enjoyed her and her infectious smile.
Joyce was an avid reader enjoyed playing cards with her euchre group. Her greatest joy was her family and friends. She retired from Pro Resources Staffing in 2004.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wayne Cooke; children, Timothy (Sylvia) Cooke, Jaymi (John) Sullivan, and Kevin Cooke; Grandchildren, Stephanie (Bill) Yeager, Hayli (Scott) Beck, Andrew Cooke, Aaron (Martha) Cooke , Kyle, and Konner Cooke; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Yeager, Claire and June Beck, and Alexander Cooke.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Wilkes and Harriet Kirby; sister, Cathy Terrell; grandchild, Kaitlyn Cooke.
A memorial service for Joyce will take place at Pathway Community Church, 1010 Carroll Rd. on Wednesday October 26th 2022 at 12:00 pm with memorial visitation from 9:30 am until service time.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials in Joyce's honor may be directed to Boomerang Backpacks or Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana. Arrangements entrusted to FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
